Monrovia, Liberia — October 17, 2025: The African Impact Institute is proud to announce the commencement of the 2025 Entrepreneur Academy, marked by a successful orientation held at iCampus Liberia in Monrovia. The event brought together a diverse group of 50 emerging entrepreneurs (24 females and 26 males) representing several communities across Montserrado County.
The Entrepreneur Academy is an 8-week intensive training program designed to equip aspiring business leaders with practical knowledge and tools to develop innovative, sustainable, and community-driven ventures. This year’s cohort brings forward bold visions in key sectors such as health and nutrition, environment and sustainability, agriculture, digital innovation, and entrepreneurship development.
During the orientation, Mr. Emmanuel G. Godfrey, Executive Director of the African Impact Institute, warmly welcomed the participants to the program. In his remarks, he encouraged the cohort to think big and be ambitious when identifying and solving community challenges.

“This academy is about more than building businesses — it’s about creating solutions that drive real change,” said Mr. Godfrey. “We want you to be bold in your ideas, fearless in execution, and purposeful in your impact.”

The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Luther Jekeh, Executive Director of iCampus Liberia, who served as the motivational speaker for the day. Mr. Jekeh congratulated the participants on their selection and urged them to take full advantage of the opportunity.
“Use this platform to learn, grow, and build with intention,” he advised. “Don’t just build for building’s sake, build with a vision that transforms lives and strengthens communities.”
The orientation also provided participants with an overview of the program’s structure, expectations, and mentorship opportunities. Over the next two months, participants will engage in interactive workshops, business modeling exercises, and one-on-one mentorship sessions, aimed at helping them turn their entrepreneurial visions into viable ventures.

The African Impact Institute remains committed to empowering young people and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Liberia. Through programs like the Entrepreneur Academy, the Institute continues to nurture leaders who are capable of driving sustainable economic and social change across the country.
Note: Support for this program was provided in part by the U.S. Department of State through the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program alumni grants program.

I'm honored to be a part of this life changing event and a big than you to the African Impact Institute for this initiative.
